People Love Their Pets

My wife and I own three dogs and we love them to death. They are truly wonderful dogs that are sweet, friendly and lovable. Maybe it's because that's how my wife and I treat them. I talked about this in an earlier post called "Powerful Environment". It really does make a difference if you surround yourself in a positive environment. Our dogs are no different so we treat them the same way. It just makes everything that much better and less stressful.

I know we aren't the only people that love our pets because there are millions of people out there that say the same thing about their pets. For some people their furry friends are a welcomed relief from the day to day challenges we face. Coming home to a loving animal is pretty special. When you talk about unconditional love, that is what it looks like.

The pet indusrty is gigantic because people love to take care of their pets. When you go into a pet store there are hundreds of products to choose from in order to pamper your pet. One way to pamper them is through food. Have you seen the prices of the food? And we have three dogs! It is more expensive to feed them because we want to give them the best food we can. It is a bit more spendy, but it's worth it so they can have a better quality of life.

As I was walking around the pet store buying some food, I started to think about what I was doing. I was  spending more money on my dog food so they could feel better and be healthier. Then I thought, what if I'm like millions of other people who take care of their pets in this fashion? I was thinking of so many people that should be doing the same thing with themselves.

In Nov. 2011, I began the "7 Day Challenge" and that seven days changed my life. It was at that time I decided to take responsibility for my health. Once I stayed on the "Challenge", I began to lose my cravings for food. I started feeling better and my results were unbelievable. So it dawned on me that if everyone would treat themselves like they treat their pets, we would have more healthy people on this planet. The more healthy people we have, the less costly our healthcare would be.

I just don't understand why more people don't treat themselves the same as their pets. Is the food in our supply that addicting? Is it that people just don't want to give up their favorites? Is it too hard to change eating habits? Whatever the reason, they decide to choose polluted food over nutrient dense food that nourishes the body because they don't know they have a choice. This is where I come in. I educate people and let them know that they do have a choice. They can change by eating food that has nutrition with no empty calories. It is hard for people to imagine that I eat the majority of my food from Isagenix. For me it is the most efficient, effective, affordable way to gain better health. IT WORKS!!!!

The next time you are in the pet store, stop, and think about treating yourself as well as you treat your pet. You can start off slowly, but just start. I would recommend the "7 Day Challenge" as a starting point. Give your body the break it deserves. Hey, get through the "Challenge" and then give yourself a treat! Woof, Woof.

Do You Really Need To Take Medications?

I don't think I have to tell you that the big Pharmaceutical companies encourage you to take their drugs every chance they get. You can't watch t.v. without seeing those drug ads for all kinds of different ailments. Sometimes when I watch those commercials it is hard to figure out what the illness is, but have you noticed that each one has a list of side effects that are fairly extensive.

The commercials for these drugs always tell you to check with your Dr. and ask them if that drug is right for you. Isn't that interesting? Asking your Dr. about these drugs is like putting a fox in the hen house. These Dr.'s are encouraged to push these drugs with incentives. What a wonderful racket and one that has been going on for years. After all, the Dr. has many drugs to choose from and recommend, but they always seem to push the same ones over and over again.

The FDA actually keeps statistics on ADR's, which stands for Adverse Drug Reactions and they have been compiling these stats since 1998. Since that time over 2 million people a year have serious drug reactions and 100,000 people actually die from them. Imagine that? People are dying from these drugs because of their reactions to the drugs. The FDA knows about them, but doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. You might call that a form of terrorism, right in our own backyard.

The pharmaceutical companies spend so much money on advertising and then enticing the Dr.'s to sell their drugs that the American people don't have a chance. Most people get sucked into believing that the only way to get better is to take drugs. The good news for the drug companies is that once you begin your journey on their drugs, you will be on them for the rest of your life. The bad news for you is that you will be on these drugs for the rest of your life!

I was one of those lemmings until I went to see an amazing Dr. who happens to be a Naturopathic Cardiologist. I was on a statin drug for my cholesterol and one for high blood pressure. He took me off both of those medications immediately because I made a conscious effort to change my diet. I am so blessed that I came across the "7 Day Super Food Challenge". This challenge has literally changed my life because I have changed my lifestyle. You too can change your life with the proper diet.

Before I started on the Challenge, I was still eating foods that were not good for me. I don't think most people realize what is in the food they are consuming. There are so many chemicals and most of them are extremely dangerous and toxic. I believe if you change your diet you can stop taking medications. I didn't want to put chemicals in my body, but like so many people I thought the only way to prevent death is to take these drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are case studies demonstrating the power that the proper diet has on your health, but the reason it is not advertised is because there is no money in getting people healthy. How sad is that?

I'm not a Dr., but if you are on some type of medication I would seriously look into alternative ways to stop masking the issue with chemicals and get to the root of your ailment by way of a better diet. It is less expensive, less harmful and the benefits could change your life. Don't become one of those ADR statistics by continuing to take dangerous drugs. Please look for an alternative through your diet, your life depends on it.

Powerful Environment

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending an event that Isagenix put on with 630 people attending. It was a wonderful experience to be in a room with like minded people who all have one thing in common. That is to help others achieve better health and financial success.

I'm reminded of the Senior Vice President of training, David Wood, when he talks about our environment. He believes, as I do, that your environment is critical to your success. If you are surrounded by negative people then it will be more difficult to achieve the level of success you desire. If however, you are surrounded by positive people then your entire world would change.

I often listen to David's 3 CD set called, Money Mindset. It is in my car all the time and as I drive around town I listen to it often. He makes so much sense when talking about environments. Often times you might be fired up about an opportunity only to be derailed by a negative environment. Perhaps your spouse or  family members and friends tell you why you can't do something or think what you're doing is a bad idea. That doesn't lend itself to a positive environment.

If you find yourself in that situation, which I think a lot of people do, then there is one really good way to overcome that doubt and negativity.....DON'T LISTEN TO IT! You must follow your heart and then surround yourself with like minded people who believe in what you do. This will reinforce your feelings and your desire to do what you really want in life. Nothing could be more powerful than to be among other people who feel as you do. Never let ANYONE steal your dreams.

The tricky part is when you leave that amazing environment, where people accept you for who you are and desire to be, then go back into your other world and have to deal with those negative challenges. People who are expanding their comfort zone will grow so much, but that is only the start. Once you feel comfortable in the zone then it is time to expand once again. You must continue to expand as a person in order to grow as a human being.

People who have a passion for helping others achieve success with their health, wealth and relationships will be rewarded far greater than their imagination can take them. Being in a positive environment can be so POWERFUL and help you achieve these goals. Once you leave that intense positive environment, it is up to YOU to maintain your ultimate desire no matter who tells you that you can't do it. After all, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks because it is what you think that counts.

I often wonder why we are so swayed by peoples thoughts of us. In Isagenix, we are offering people an alternative to our current food supply with upside benefits such as better health and more wealth. I know that sounds sleazy, but I will take my chances and continue on my journey to help others achieve a level of success that they thought they could never achieve. My journey will lead me to personal freedom from what I call the "Hampster Wheel" (search my post of that name). You know the viscious cycle we all get in and can never climb out of? If that is you then my suggestion would be to check your ENVIRONMENT. Don't take this lightly. A powerful environment could mean the difference between success or failure.

Gluten Free

There are no two words more powerful right now than...Gluten Free. Have you noticed it everywhere? Have you been to a restaurant and noticed that they have a special section for Gluten Free items? Why all of the fuss?
Could it be that 1 out of 2 people in the US are Gluten sensitive?

The question still remains, "Why all of a sudden is there so much interest in Gluten"? I have a feeling I know the reason, but it opens another whole can of worms...GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). I think for this post I'll stick to Gluten free and what to look for.

First of all, Gluten is the main protein in Wheat, Barley and Rye. It hasn't been around that long. I believe wheat has been on the scene for about 10,000 years. I know, that does seem like a long time, but considering the earth has been populated for one million years it puts it in perspective. Wheat in itself is not that easily digestible especially back in the beginning. It has to be refined and until they could grind it into a digestible form it was difficult to eat.

Well in the 1800's the Industrial Revolution brought us large steel roller mills and at that moment everything changed. They were able to refine grains quickly and inexpensively which meant an abundance of flour to Europe and America. When they replaced the stone mills with refinery's the flour became more pure, white. White flour has a high protein content which means it also has a high content of Gluten.

Over the years wheat has become a part of the American diet because it was cheap to produce and the manufacturers found many uses for this grain. At the turn of the 20th century is when Kellogg's and Post developed cereals using grains. Since that time wheat has immersed itself in our diet and it has only gotten worse. I say that because of two words...Fast Food.

You can't go into a fast food restaurant and not eat Gluten. As a matter of fact, there aren't many places to hide from Gluten these days. Although people are starting to catch on that Gluten could have a negative effect on their immune system and their intestinal track. Diagnosing Gluten is not easy, but one that should be taken seriously. If you are having symptoms that you can't explain or if your allergies are acting up, instead of running to the Dr. you might want to try eliminating Gluten from your diet.

There are blood tests you can do to determine if you might be Gluten sensitive or even have full blown Celiac disease, but you could also find out by food elimination. What I mean by that is reducing your intake of certain foods and therefore eliminating the cause of your malaise.

I have a similar solution that could help detect if you are Gluten sensitive and it is called "The 7 Day 100% Gluten Free Super Food Challenge." This is a Protocol of all super foods that are packed with nutrients with very little calories and NO GLUTEN. By taking the "7 Day Challenge" you can learn quickly if you feel differently from not eating Gluten for one whole week. I have had people tell me that they feel different after just a few days. This is not a scientific experiment, but it is one of the least costly to determine sensitivity. The other benefits are weight reduction and more energy. Give it a try because your body deserves a break!

Looking Ahead...

For the last several decades I have been trying to get a handle on the next big thing. I believe I have identified the next trillion dollar trend and that happens to be the "Wellness Revolution". It already has begun, but it is in the beginning stages and fortunes will be made from this new industry.

I'm not the only one saying this as a top economist named Paul Zane Pilzer has written books on the subject. One book is titled, "The Wellness Revolution, How to make a Fortune in the next Trillion Dollar Industry." So I'm fairly confident that I'm at the right place at the right time. What I also know is that I represent an alternative for someone looking for better health. An alternative food supply that actually nourishes your body. The perfect storm is brewing for the explosion of a company called Isagenix.

It wasn't long ago that my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. I saw what she went through first hand. I then went through another tough loss of my mother-in-law and how she suffered for years until she developed colon cancer. My dad, over a dozen years ago passed from heart disease and kidney failure. When I'm out and about I notice many sick and elderly people who have no quality of life. As I get older I'm becoming more aware of my mortality. That awareness is leading me to take action and responsibility for my health.

The solution is really quite simple, change what you eat. The majority of Americans are stuck in the notion that the food in our food supply is safe. I even hear people justify eating this food, knowing it is not good for them by saying, "I'm going to die anyway, so why not enjoy myself"? I have a hard time with that one, but usually don't get the conversation started because I've learned that changing ones thoughts about food takes courage and a lot of people don't want to change their eating habits.

By taking responsibility for my health, I am now in control of what I eat and if I want to eat. Lately, if I can't have my Isagenix food then I'd rather not eat. I think that is where America gets in trouble. Eating has become addicting to many people and they just can't control themselves. The food has no nutritional value which means you are actually starving yourself. Nutrition is critical to your survival.

There are other reasons I want to be healthy no matter what I have to give up. All I have to do is think about my mom and dad and the way they suffered to realize that what I do now affects my health in the future. Being on this "7 Day Challenge" Protocol has given me better health. I'm eating very little food and several biomarkers have improved dramatically. I'm going to continue with this Protocol as I have made this my lifestyle change. In looking ahead, I realize that I have a better than average chance a living a more productive quality of life than if I didn't make this change.

I hope you too will take a serious look at what you're doing for your health right now. If what you are doing is working then keep doing it. If you can improve your health so you can enjoy a better quality of life, then may I suggest taking a look at our program. Gluten Free and GMO Free. Plus you get something that is rare to find in our current food supply and it's called Nutrition.

Food Truck Friday

I work in downtown Phoenix, AZ where there is a lot of new and exciting restaurants. Some of the top chefs in the city have opened their own unique establishments in this area. There are also many casual dining and fast food places to eat, so there is a great variety to choose from.

About a month ago I was driving to my office and I spotted something that I hadn't seen before. In this open lot there were about 15 Food Trucks lined up in a horseshoe shape. I couldn't tell what types of food they were selling because I couldn't stop the car. When I got back to the office I told my partners and employees about it.

Since I have been on the "7 Day Challenge" I had no desire to eat food off a truck, but I remember watching the Food Network and they had a show that featured a contest among these restaurants on wheels. I was fascinated by the show because it appeared that some of the menu items were very creative and actually looked pretty good.

Since the trucks are only in this one location every Friday, my partner and several employees go down to the trucks and experiment with different foods that are offered. They all come back with a wonderful story about what they experienced with each truck they try. It has now become a ritual every Friday which is why they now refer to Friday as, "Food Truck Friday".

I must admit I love hearing what they tried every Friday when they come back to the office. They all beg me to go, but I can't bring myself to eat the food off a truck. Then again I can't imagine eating food in a fine restaurant as well. I am so loving my Protocol that has become part of my life. I feel better about myself both physically and mentally. I don't think you could even put a price on that. My numbers have significantly improved and are improving more every day. I feel amazing!

My office mates feel that I'm missing something by not attending "Food Truck Friday". They leave the office and me at my desk with my Isalean Meal Replacement Bar and I can tell they feel sorry for me. How could anyone pass up a chance to experiment with gourmet truck food? I can because I made a commitment to take responsibility for my health which means following my Protocol. When you experience what I have in regard to health, I believe you would feel the same way and want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Under full disclosure I still eat some food, but it is very little and on rare occasions. I don't eat meat, drink soda, eat sweets, drink coffee, eat fried foods, etc. I think you get the picture that I watch myself like a hawk and it is so easy to do because of the Protocol I'm on. Nutrient Dense Super Food has changed my life and I want to help as many people as possible obtain better health. I did it and so can you. Start today and skip "Food Truck Friday".

Starting With Starbucks?

I had an early appointment at a Starbucks in Scottsdale to talk about the "7 Day Challenge" the other day. So I go into a fairly small Starbucks and just stood by the door to wait. What I observed over the next 15-20 minutes was amazing.

So many people were rushing in to get their favorite Latte or whatever else they drink in the AM. Please understand that I'm not coming down on people who have Starbucks in the morning, I'm just saying that there could be a better way to start the day than with one of those fancy drinks.

This particular morning was a Friday and it was obvious that most people observed casual Friday. I would also say that most of the patrons on this day were women. The next thing I noticed was the size of the drinks they were purchasing. I would say most of them had the biggest size they could get. I think they call that a Venti. What happened to , "I'll have a small, medium or large".

It seems like Starbucks is like a religion. So many people swear by it and must have it everyday. There was a time when I drank coffee and I'll be honest, I thought their coffee was a bit bitter for my taste. As I was standing there I was trying to figure out the calorie count for most of these drinks. The reason I was guessing was because I didn't see it posted anywhere. A Caffe Mocha is over 230 calories and many other drinks are over 160 and above. The sugars are like 21% and I would have to question the nutritional value.

As I stood there I got the sense that most of the patrons do this on a regular basis. Then I started to imagine if they started their day with a Isalean Meal Replacement Shake. This shake is power packed with nutrition, high grade protein and so much more. I believe people would begin to realize that if they put quality food in their bodies first thing in the morning, then they would feel better and not have cravings for these empty calories the rest of the day.

I often wonder if it is more of a habit than anything else. I find so many people are just used to doing the same thing everyday. They have their favorite restaurant they go to, Starbucks and other routines that are hard to break. They say it takes 21 to 30 days to break a habit. The other question is, "Do you want to break a bad habit"? If you do, this is where the courage part comes in. Having the courage to change a habit. I know first hand, as I have not only changed my habits about food, I have changed my lifestyle.

When you are no longer held hostage by food then you know that you have done the work necessary to change. With the food supply on the decline in terms of nutrition and safety, I would recommend looking into a new food technology by a company called Isagenix. Try our "7 Day Challenge" because within that 7 days you might, just might, change your life forever. Of course, it is up to you. So, are you up for the "Challenge"?

Negative Energy Is Toxic

I always talk about toxic things that are in the air, water and our food, but there is another toxic thing in our lives and it is......NEGATIVE ENERGY.

We are all surrounded by negative energy that we allow into our lives. It is all around us with the economy, the middle east, local news and what we are facing in November. However, I have joined others who are not this way. I'm surrounded by like minded individuals that also want to take responsibility for their health and help others do the same. Is there a problem with that?

Negative Energy is toxic in this world. So many people live in this toxic world, but I don't think they want to. The challenge for them is to break out of this environment and completely change their way of thinking. Surrounding themselves with positive people is a very good place to start. You also want to do something that you are passionate about. For me, it is getting healthy and taking responsibility for my health. I believe many people would like to control themselves when it comes to food, but they just have a difficult time saying no.

Then you have your friends and family to contend with. I'm not saying they are negative, but on occasion you might see an eye roll or you hear a sigh, like you're about to go into a presentation and they have heard it a million times before. This could be construed as NEGATIVE ENERGY. What I'm hoping is that you don't care about those things and just continue on doing what you love and makes you happy. If you do that then the negative energy just fades away because you don't even notice it.

If I let any of these things affect me I would not be here. On the contrary, I am here because I believe that Isagenix is the company of the future. Imagine creating world class nutritional products that provides an alternative to our current food supply. I don't think the company thinks in those terms, but I do. The reason I do is because of the "7 Day Challenge" protocol. It works if you work it. Put these products in your body and watch what happens. The body needs nutrition, plain and simple.

Isagenix has an amazing culture with an abundant amount of POSITIVE ENERGY. When you are surrounded by that it becomes addictive. When you attend an event you feel part of something bigger than yourself. The vision of this company is impressive and I believe achievable. To become the largest health and wellness company in the world. They are on their way. Once you turn your environment from negative to POSITIVE, your world begins to change. Get rid of the negative thoughts and you can have anything you want and think about all day long. If you think you can't then I would start your journey there. Find out why you can't and then find out how YOU CAN!

My Name Is Jay And I'm An IsaHolic

Approaching 280+ days in the high 90% Isagenix protocol, I would have to say that I am an IsaHolic. Now, you could still be an IsaHolic if you are on autoship and love the products, but I'm talking about the next level IsaHolic. You know the one that craves Isagenix food over any other food...even if it's free?

You know you're an IsaHolic if you go to a party that has every one of your favorite foods and you just walk by without giving it a thought. I'm not talking about even the slightest thought to grab a plate and start to munch on one thing. So what is your favorite thing? Whatever it is, I suggest you go get a picture of it and hang it up in your office to remind you that you are no longer out of control. You can resist even your worst enemy, be it Pizza, Hamburgers, Wings, Cheescake, Steak....ANYTHING!

If you pass that test then I will say that you are an IsaHolic. Although, it's not as easy as it sounds. I see people all the time take the "7 Day Challenge", but struggle when it comes to the weekend. What is it about the weekend? Do you think you're going to miss out on some great food that you couldn't eat on a Tuesday? We didn't name it the "5 Day Challenge" because that is not the same as "7" days. No matter how you slice it, the weekend is going to be part of your challenge whether you start on a Monday or Sunday.

I know that I have turned to the other side in terms of food because I have no cravings for food. As long as I have my Isagenix food, I'm good. I'm also an IsaHolic because I would prefer to eat Isagenix food than any other food on the planet. That would include all my old favorites which would be too numerous to mention here. Yes, at one time I did have cravings and ate all the goodies people eat every day. That was then and this is now!

Taking responsibility for my health seems odd to so many people. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe it's because they want to, but don't have the courage to change? Maybe they don't want to change and get healthy. Maybe they don't have someone that can help them and give them support. Perhaps they don't know it is possible to get healthy eating nutrient dense food. Whatever the reason unless you truly make a commitment to change your life then you will always play the justification game. You also might find yourself playing the blame game as well.

I encourage you to be true to yourself and if you know what you are eating is not helping your body then don't eat it. Take a good look at yourself and ask yourself if what you have been doing is working. If the answer to that is no then you have a starting point. You see, you can't move forward if you don't know where you are. Once you discover that you want a change in your life then take action and move in the direction of your "want".

Don't worry if you fall down because as in the words of David Wood, "In the beginning, every master was a disaster". Get up and try again and again and again until you have the courage and discipline to walk up to the dessert table and turn and walk away. If you do that...you're an IsaHolic!!

Think It Can't Happen?

I was reading John Robbins book, "The Food Revolution" about an incident that happened not too long ago. It has to do with the topic of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). As a reminder, GMOs came into play in the late 70's and were created for a multitude of reasons. What hasn't changed since their inception is that playing with genetics is serious business....and a dangerous one!

There are those that say all the fear mongering about GMOs is overblown. The advocates for GMOs tell you that there have been over 25,000 trials of GM crops and there hasn't been one incident. That is why the government recognizes GMOs as no different than Non-GMO crops. But is that really true? Have there not been any incidents?

Dr. Jane Rissler, PhD in plant pathology and one of the leading authorities on environmental risks of GMO foods has a different view on the subject. The Dr. said that even though they didn't find anything harmful in those tests, the tests don't provide a track record of safety.

Enter a German Biotech company who developed a common soil bacterium, Klebsiella Planticula, which helps break down wood chips, corn stalks, wastes from lumber and produces ethanol at the same time. They were successful in getting this Klebsiella Bacterium to do exactly what they described. So the post process waste was then added to soil to make compost. They got the go ahead from the EPA to test the Bacterium at Oregon State University. The test was a success and were ready to roll out this product when a doctoral student named, Michael Holmes, decided to take some of the post processed waste and add it to living soil.

What happened next was not expected to happen. In a nutshell, the seeds that were planted in the soil mixed with Klebsiella all sprouted....but then they all died. The GM Klebsiella created a negative reaction to the soils micro-organisms which suppressed crucial soil fertility. Well there is a fungi named "Mycorrhysal" and what it does is help make nutrients available to the plants. Without this fungi in the soil no plant could survive. They discovered that when they introduced the Klebsiella into the soil it reduced the population of the Mycorrhysal in the soil.

So here is what the scientists discovered with this Klebsiella Bacterium. They discovered that the genetically modified bacteria was able to remain in the soil and would have been impossible to get rid of. Geneticist David Suzuki said, "The genetically engineered Klebsiella could have ended all plant life on this continent. The implications of this single case are nothing short of terrifying".

Imagine if they allowed this Klebsiella into the market place? Why are we fooling around with genetics when there are alternatives like IsagenixNutrient Dense Super Food that can not only sustain you, but improve your health at the same time. Stop ingesting GMOs at all costs because you have no idea what the effects will be 5, 10, 20 years from now. So do you still think this couldn't happen? The threat to our population is enough to scare the daylights out of you. Please pass on this post and maybe we can begin to make people aware of this very serious situation that faces us. If you are serious about your health then please take action today!!! Try our "7 Day Challenge" and start to feel good and SAFE.
