Powerful Thoughts

Ever wonder what got you to the place you are today? You know, the job you have, the money you make, where you live and the relationships you are in? This is a direct relation to the thoughts you have. Most people don't realize that because they are so wrapped up in their current situation that they can't think good thoughts.

Everyone lives in a world of stories. We all make up stories about our current situation which justifies our current situation. I hear a lot of blaming and complaining from people who are mad because they hate their job or don't make enough money. These people are creating a story around their circumstances. This leads me back to your thoughts.

I wish people would realize how powerful their thoughts are and start to utilize them in a positive way. When you are consistently thinking negative thoughts then can you guess what the outcome of those thoughts will be? So if you hate your job or you are not happy in a relationship then you will be stuck with these feelings for a very long time because that is what you are thinking about all the time. You start to have negative feelings about everything in your life and this is a dangerous place to be. You probably feel helpless and hopeless.

If you want to change this pattern you MUST change your THOUGHTS. You are currently where you are because of the thoughts you had in the past. I am here to tell you that you have the ability to change those thoughts now for the future. Changing your thoughts seems like a simple thing to do except if it was so simple everyone would do it and you wouldn't be in the situation your are today. So how do you change your thoughts when you don't see any light at the end of the tunnel? How do you turn your current circumstances around when you hate your job and you are just not happy?

No one said it was going to be easy, but then nothing in life is worth anything if you don't work for it. So, here are my suggestions to change your life around. Begin by sitting down in a quiet place and start to formulate in your head what you want your life to look like. Be clear on those thoughts and get specific. Don't just say "I want to be rich." Your thoughts should generate a feeling of happiness and well being. What would make you happy? Once you have a very clear image of the life you want to have, then begin moving in the direction of those thoughts. They can be small steps, but you must take action and move towards that goal. While you are doing this continue to sit and think of this happy place on a daily basis. You want to feel good all the time. The next thing to do is write out on some 3x5 cards positive affirmations and stick them on your mirror. An example would be, "Life is so wonderful" or " My income is constantly increasing". When you wake in the morning and go to bed at night, say these affirmations looking at yourself in the mirror.

If you are consistent at these two practices on a daily basis it will have a profound effect on your life. I'm not telling you this because it sounds hokey, I'm telling you this because it has worked for me. By doing these exercises, my life has changed and all of those negatives thoughts have disappeared. So STOP blaming and complaining and turn your life around with positive thinking. Do you know why you can do it? Because ANYONE can if they make the effort.
